"atheism is not unsafe"

There is nothing dangerous about atheism because atheism does not have any dangerous characteristics. Since atheism is exclusively the classification of "absence of belief in deities," it can qualify as "safe" compared to certain religions or cults that require members to actively engage in dangerous activities (e.g., fasting, self-punishment, blood-letting, suicide, etc.) or inflicting harm on others (e.g., avoiding important medical procedures, forcible confinement, genital mutilation {a.k.a., circumcision}, animal sacrifice, etc.).
