These are petitions we promoted.  (In future, a note will always be included alongside any petitions we were more directly involved in.)

Past petitions

• e-382: Repeal Section 296 (Blasphemous Libel) of the Canadian Criminal Code
  Status  Successful because Section 296 of the Criminal Code was repealed (petition had 7,406 signatures)
• Prime Minister of Canada/Premier ministre du Canada Justin Trudeau: Tax Religions
  Status:  Not successful (petition had 21 supporters)
• Petitioning Governments of Muslim-majority Societies to Uphold Freedom of Expression: Stop the Targeted Killings of Minorities
  SAVE (Stop All Violence against freedom of Expression) Coalition
  Status:  Not successful because transgender activist Alesha was shot in Peshawar, Pakistan (petition had 212 supporters; Canadian atheists was never added to the list of supporting organizations, but we still support the principles of this effort that aims to uphold freedom of expression)
